A Spring Morning

Adiemus – Adiemus

“If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don’t, they never were.” – Kahlil Gibran

It was the first dew drop that had stopped on that tiny blade of grass that spring. The perfect shape, the rainbow-colored reflections, the mesmerizing transparency – they were all there. It felt as if time itself stood still just to admire that one dew drop. Never before had the tiny blade of grass felt so alive. It started to move gently as if trying to embrace that bead of crystal clear water and hold it there for eternity.

And then the drop fell. Gone! Lost forever, swallowed by the ground below as if it was never there. The tiny blade of grass swung in the morning breeze for a few moments until it slowly came to a halt. There was no more dew drop to caress it. But soon, from deep within the ground, a gentle force started pumping new life into its roots.
